Preliminary Estimate
An IDI Integration Consultant will discuss your requirements with you to
determine feasibility and estimate a cost for the project, including
software. We can generally gather the necessary information for an initial
estimate in our first phone conversation, but this is ultimately dependent
upon project complexity and availability of information.
Within two days of receipt of this information, the consultant will
provide a Preliminary Estimate of the project costs.
Review and Acceptance of Preliminary Estimate
Upon your acceptance of the Preliminary Estimate, there are several ways
for you to provide IDI with a purchase order for development of the
Statement of Work and ultimately the software.
Statement of Work and Detailed Consulting
After receipt of the authorization to proceed with consulting services,
the Integration Consultant will work closely with you to gather information
and identify the areas requiring further analysis.
The result of this consultation is the Statement of Work,
which clearly presents project requirements, technical specifications,
assumptions, timelines, and costs. The Statement of Work minimizes late
project changes that can affect cost and delay implementation. It also helps
identify issues during the planning phase rather than at implementation.
The Statement of Work consists of the following sections:
- Project Overview
- Functional Specifications
- Technical Specifications
- Operational Overview
- Multi-site Planning
- Assumptions
- Deliverables Schedule
- Project Timeline
- Project Cost
- Revision Log
Review and Acceptance of Statement of Work
The Integration Consultant will work with you to refine project
requirements presented in the Statement of Work. The goal of these meetings
is to discuss any new or outstanding issues identified since the analysis
phase. IDI will work closely with you to discuss and incorporate revisions.
Subsequent to these conversations, IDI will create a revised Statement of
Work with a detailed list of changes. Client sign-off of specifications
finalizes the project specifications and ends the review process.
Development of Your Software
Integrated Designs Custom Support Analysts begin the software
configuration based on the requirements accepted in the Statement of Work.
This phase includes development, testing and QA.
Client Testing and Final Acceptance
At completion of configuration, IDI delivers the finished product to you.
Upon receipt of the software, you are encouraged to initiate at least two
test runs of the processing cycle. After testing, it is recommended that you
run two live cycles. After two successful live cycles, the project is
considered complete.
